21 Day Boot Camp Begins
Numbers have been well up this week as 12 new participants have been getting a taste test of the Oxygen scene. There’s certainly been a great energy at both the 6am and 6pm STRENGTH sessions and I noticed Jill’s INTERVAL RUN session last night had a huge line of runners trekking back from Kendall’s Beach. There’s some really noticable improvements happening with many of our runners maintaining stronger, longer efforts across the sand and stairs.

I encourage all our long serving members to make them feel welcome and remind them that the muscle soreness they’re experiencing will subside if they just stay consistent. All you new Boot Campers make sure you join our Private Facebook Group to stay up to date with everything Oxygen.

Precision Nutrition

Our 12 Week Kiama Nutrition Coaching Program kicked off this past Monday with 9 participants taking up the challenge. This time around the format is entirely online and the task this week has been keeping a Daily Health Diary and reporting their progress each day to the rest of the group via our Private Forum. Over the next 11 Weeks these participants will be trying to incorporate the 10 rules of Good Nutrition to improve health, body composition and performance. Look out for some great transformations.

Semi Private PT Clients gaining momentum

Congrats go out to Megan Casey who this week achieved the holy grail for many of our female clients – 3 sets of 6 unassisted Chin Ups. Megan only began FitChicks training about 2/3 through last year and couldn’t complete even 1 chin up without assistance. There’s something very empowering about conquering that movement and Megan now has a smile from ear to ear.

The Spartan Training Club guys are all ticking along nicely as we near the halfway mark of our Program. Just this morning Anthony Langlois impressed with a heavier Squat, Incline Press and 2.5kg Chin Up, Daniel Rouse-Stanton churned out some 110kg Squats and 18 reps of 7.5kg Chin Ups. Pete Townley pumped a 78kg Incline Press and is making some great Blue band Chin up progress. Mark Burns, with one session left before his Japan Skiing Trip, hit his goal for Military Press, Power Cleans, Box Jumps and Chin Ups. He’s about 2kg off his targets for Squats and Incline Presses and is on the verge of throwing away the Chin up bands forever!

Kerry Kills us for the last time
Long serving Staff Member Kerry Philp led her Finale Session at last weekend’s Super Saturday session and in typical fashion, everyone left exhausted. It was great to see so many clients head down to Manning St Cafe for Breakfast afterwards and send her out with a massive caffeine hit. That hit is likely to involve alcohol this Saturday for her official farewell at the Blue Diamond Bar
