Time for some “take a look in the mirror” style Monday Motivation to kickstart your week.

So we’re already past halfway in the first month of 2015 and with a Public Holiday Long Weekend coming up January will be over before you can blink.

How are those New Year’s Resolutions going?

What you do today, tomorrow, next week, and in the next few months will ultimately determine your year and whether you hit your goals or lose control of yet another year.

I really hope that you make 2015 your best year yet and not let it slip away, because those lost years can really start to add up.

Make this the year of urgency and purpose.  As a Kiama Personal Trainer, that’s my aim this year and my hope for you.

Do everything as though you’re running out of time… because you are.

Do the things that you have the most passion about. Live and work with purpose.

Don’t half-ass anything. And don’t put things off another day.

If you look back at 2014 and find that you missed your goals, or failed your resolutions, or the year did not turn out like you wanted it to then take responsibility for it.

It’s your fault.

Own it.

But don’t beat yourself up over it because today you can take action and start moving in the right direction.

This is your year and two of the most important things you need to do is have urgency in your goals and do things with purpose. If you do that consistently throughout 2015 you will make it the best year yet.

I’ll warn you though, life will get in the way of your goals, dreams and ambitions.

Troubles will happen.

Chaos will come.

Distractions will pop up left and right.

And not every day will be great one.

Some days will just be good.

But don’t allow, accept or give into having a bad day.

Alwyn Cosgrove, Owner of Results Fitness (a U.S Gym that has been rated in the Top 10 Gyms worldwide) says: I only have GREAT days and GOOD days. As someone who has faced Stage IV Cancer twice, that’s some attitude to live each day by.

So let’s drop our excuses.

2015 is OUR year and it’s the year of URGENCY and PURPOSE.

Live like you’re running out of time… because you are.

It all start with you making the most of today, tomorrow, this week, next week, this month, and the months that follow.

Make it happen.
