Welcome to the latest edition of The Weekly Wrap. We’ve been working behind the scenes lately to bring some new challenges to training and with the London Olympics right around the corner, what better idea than to train like an Olympian. Check out the latest Weekly Wrap for the goss!

What’s been happening?

Body Balance Challenge reaching the end…
Now into the second last week of competition the participants were asked to sit an exam to demonstrate their knowledge fo the 10 Rules of Good Nutrition, list some of the favourite recipes from their Gourmet Nutrition Cookbooks and also state their case as to why they deserve to win the Two night Accomodation package at Bannisters Lodge in Mollymook. There were some great responses and there has certainly been some outstanding results. The Winner will be announced next Saturday 28th July at the Blue Diamond Bar.


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

 
Group Training Memberships relaunched

Due to the success of Body Balance Nutrition Program in Kiama and our Kiama Personal Training  programs, we’ve identified a need to check in with our Group Training Members more often to help review their programs, identify successes and challenges and help them get better reults from their programs This type of accountability is crucial in maintaining motivation, avoiding injury and continually improving. Accordingly, we’ve relaunched our Kiama Group Training Memberships to include regular Consultations and in the spirit of the Olympics there’s Gold, Silver and Bronze Memberships now available. Thursday Thoughts – Changing your Attitude to improve your Kiama Group Training

Time for your daily news and specifically, the Thursday Thought.  These little pearls of wisdom come from the book “Now is the Time” by Patrick Lindsay.

Today’s thought is appropriate given that February is often a time that so many Kiama Group Training member’s goals or New Year’s Resolutions have gotten off track, so rather than seeing it as Black or White, succeed or fail, right or wrong.

Now is the time to……

Change your attitude

Each day may not be a good one,
But there’s something good in every day.
The difference is usually our attitude.
Look for the positive,
You’ll find that the positives will shine through.
They will act as signposts to navigate through the dark times.

So, develop on attitude of gratitude and see where life takes you.

Today’s thought is appropriate considering the number of new clients we’ve had around at Oxygen this week.  If you’re a long time Kiama Group Training client – have you thought about this?

Now is the time to…….

Be a mentor

This can bring unexpected benefits:  you pass on your hard-won skills and wisdom, you receive great insight and friendship, you light the way for another.  In return, you see life through different eyes and, usually, you’ll learn more than you teach.  By learning you will teach, by teaching you will learn”  Latin proverb

Don’t forget you can be a mentor to friends and family by bringing them along to Oxygen.  If 3 of your friends join in January you can lock in our “Kiama Group Training Champion’s Rate” of $150 per month for Life. This makes you immune to any price rises we may have in future.

Seriously, what are you waiting for?  If Oxygen’s really as good as you say it is, it’s selfish NOT to share it with those closest to you.

Now you might think to yourself, what’s that got to do with my mental wellbeing?

Think of it as Pre Season Kiama Group Training. Athletes know it’s going to be serious challenging, some even dread it. But most know it is the push outside their comfort zone that will hold them in good stead for the rest of the season. Well, we’ve got a long season ahead and it’s called LIFE.  Make this the year you step out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself regularly. It’s the path to personal growth.

Get comfortable with being uncomfortable!

There’s lots of exciting things coming up this year at Oxygen Kiama Group Training, those that do the hard yards in pre season will be well placed for later in the year!

You might feel that this event is beyond you. Are you a bit low on confidence or self esteem? There’s nothing like taking on a challenge and stepping out of your comfort zone to build confidence in yourself.
6 Time Premiership Winning Coach Wayne Bennett says:

“Self esteem is how we feel about ourselves. Part of that can be given to us by others: that’s precisely why we have to be careful about who we surround ourselves with. Remember no one can make you feel inferior unless you allow them to”.

Oxygen is the most positive, confidence building health & finess community in the region. Surround yourself with us, immerse yourself in our culture and in 2012 you’ll be a much stronger person inside and out. Grab life by the throat and say “I can do this!”

The last week or so has been unbelievable here with so many new clients signing up.  On top of the successful Bring A Friend campaign from January, our latest promotion of a 4 Weeks to Freedom Boot Camp has seen the business double almost overnight.

Early morning boot camps and group fitness are the new wave in fitness.  They are exploding across Australia and the rest of the world for 2 synergistic reasons:
